Shen was born in China in 1981, living there till the age of 2, afterward, moving to Florida. Raised in Hawaii from age 4 to 10 Shen finally started to feel like he was home.
     From age 10-12 he lived in Tokyo with his family while his parents taught at Temple University in Japan.
     When he returned to hawaii from 12-20 years old he paddled Hawaiian outrigger Canoe for 6 years while attending ‘Iolani School and one year for ‘Anuenue in Waikiki. 
     Shen uses a KoAloha Tenor Ukulele on stage using the style influences of the Legend Ernie Cruz Jr. 
     He has spent his career building a bridge of culture and music between Hawai’i and Japan and is currently on mission spreading awareness of breath to the world.
